Mountain to Sea Stays began with a simple idea: buy property in places we love to vacation, and manage them the way we'd want our own homes cared for.
Krissy and Bill started with a single condo in Silverthorne, Colorado. They fell in love with the mountain lifestyle—the early mornings on the slopes before the crowds, the tight-knit community of year-round locals and seasonal visitors, the way the landscape makes you feel small and present all at once. They'd spent years visiting Colorado, renting from various companies, experiencing the best and worst of vacation home ownership from a guest perspective. So they decided to do it differently.
They bought a place in the mountains they knew and loved. They kept it spotless. They answered the phone when guests called. They checked the little things nobody else thinks to check. And they treated every guest like they were welcoming family into their own home.
That philosophy has grown into a small, hands-on collection spanning Summit County's peaks and Destin's shoreline. The portfolio expanded not because we were chasing growth, but because we found other places we wanted to spend time—places that matched our values, our standards, and our vision of what a vacation should feel like.
